More Wacky NMs!

In an effort to improve my secondary characters, I have decided to halt my Guttler efforts to procure Iolites and other character upgrades. For those who are curious, I have listed some key features for each of my mules below. In fact, my mules resemble low-level characters more than just additional storage spaces.

Unfortunately, Citipati did not pop during my Iolite hunt; however, I did manage to get another important NM done. That is right; it is the good ol' Club WSNM, Eldhrimnir. In order to get enough help for this NM, I even asked three of my friends to skill their Clubs with me, and to be honest, this NM was not too tough with four people pounding on it. Although Eldhrimnir did not cast many BLM spells during our fight, I probably could not solo this NM due to how it spams "Mysterious Light" -- a move that causes AoE damage and "Gravity."

I also tried to duo the CoP 2-3 NM, Minotaur, with Masani, but unfortunately, our pets got hit with "Mortal Ray" and died on us shortly after. Although it is possible to avoid "Mortal Ray" by using "Heel" before the move executes, I found it difficult to turn around in time while fighting alongside my pet.

At this point, I was pretty depressed, so I hopped on my NIN to try tackling Minotaur party style. Since Minotaur uses "Draw In" on targets that run out of range, I decided to traverse the maze solo to save my PT traveling time. At this point, Ari decided to ask me what the PT should do if I failed, and I told her I would quit BST if I did.

After reaching Minotaur and subsequently drawing my PT in, I decided to tank the NM backwards, thus avoiding his "Doom" move entirely. The fight went smoothly, and on the way back, our group ran stumbled across another Tauri NM, Mahisha. As such, our PT decided to assail one more NM (or perhaps I just jumped the NM without thinking), and we were rewarded with:

Nothing. Mahisha ended up dying even faster than Minotaur did, and we found that both NMs do not seem to be of the MNK type. This made "Battlefield Elegy" the perfect song to weaken their attack speed, and "Hojo: Ichi" only made it easier. I suppose my NMs are growing stingy again drop-wise, but it is not like I wanted a Sinister Mask anyway.

Afterward, the group teleported to the Konschtat Highlands, and we all went our separate ways. I decided to go exploring and found this neat little cave in the middle of nowhere. A Khaki token (collect all five to win) goes out to anyone who can give the position of the cave above.

Finally, while replenishing my supplies in Aht Urghan Whitegate, I bumped into someone with an interesting name, Forbeastmaster. Ironically, he was a WAR (what a traitor), so I did not stick around him for long. No, I do not see the irony in my comment. =)
