Violets are Blue

And so am I. If you are reading this post, I regret to inform that I am quitting FFXI -- possibly forever. The following picture briefly explains an argument I had with an LS member, Hammered.

So what happened exactly? After farming Fomor Hate and a Swift Belt pop alone, I decided to team up in hopes of finally earning my own Swift Belt. Unfortunately, Hammered did not bother to farm either of the two belt requisites beforehand, failed to coordinate the run effectively, and threatened to boot me for arguing. I never thought I would see the day where I would be at such odds with an LS member, but I left the party soon after, sickened by Hammered's attitude.

I am a man of principles, and when push comes to shove, I am standing for my own beliefs even if it leaves me someplace worse than I started. This incident is the final straw in a series of related LS mishaps; I feel constantly reminded that I either need to work alone or bow my head before disrespectful people. I suppose I have always done the former being a BST, but I cannot expect to remain alone forever. So I believe it is time I focused (more) on something that is worth putting up with disrespectful people for: a university education.

As I write this post and prepare to make farewells, it is taking me every ounce of my strength to resist swearing and cursing at Hammered (and others) in my own blog. As a precaution, I have decided to keep my character intact in case I ever wish to return to FFXI. In closing, thank you for reading and visiting my blog. To my friends, I have left special messages for you all below:

I was going to tell you not to leave, but then I see that I don't even get a goodbye message. And I even read your blog ; ;

So I must deduct that either we aren't friends, or that you aren't really quitting, and are just planning on running off into the wild blue yonder with Kyli, in which you wouldn't need to say bye to me.
