??? Beadeaux

Today's post comes early because I will not have much time to play today; I also cannot seem to fall asleep at the moment. Have you ever walked to the ??? spot behind the Goblin NPC in Beadeaux and examined the ensuing dialogue carefully? The dialogue reads:

"A piece of parchment is nailed here."
Do you wish to read it?

• Yes
• Not Now 

If you select yes, you get:

"Mrahcva dauqe htsi yekllec eht.
Vada uqons naem dnuos on."

I know what you are thinking, you said let us read it backwards!

"The cellkey isth equad avcharM.
No sound mean snoqu adaV."

It looks like we could make words out of this if we rearrange the letters.

"The cell key is the Quadav Charm.
No sound means no Quadav."

I guess the sad part is how it took me two years to understand this cryptic message. Anyhow, the message is for a quest in Selbina called "The Rescue." I suppose I felt this clue was far too cryptic, lighten up SE!

a) ??? are selectable targets in FFXI that serve multiple purposes throughout the game. Some will trigger a cutscene (CS), others will prompt text to appear, and the rest will spawn monsters to attack you.
b) SE refers to Square Enix, the video game company that produced FFXI.
